Hello, I’m Anton.
A gardener who feels most at home outdoors.
I’m Anton de Beer, the person behind The Kentish Gardener. I’ve spent 11 years caring for gardens and working on hard and soft landscaping projects, including commissions in the Cotswolds.
I love getting to know a garden: the plants that thrive there, the way it changes through the seasons, and what makes it special to the people who enjoy it.

I’ll listen to what you’d like, talk through what your garden needs and agree the work with you before we begin. My aim is to help you feel comfortable about the next step, and to give you a garden you can enjoy.

Over the years, I’ve built up a broad knowledge of plants alongside practical experience in both hard and soft landscaping. I enjoy the balance between shaping a space and caring for the living things that make it a garden.
My work has included garden and landscaping commissions in the Cotswolds. I bring that experience, and the same personal attention, to the gardens I look after in Kent.
I’m happy spending my days outdoors throughout the year, whatever the weather brings. There’s always something to notice and care for, with the work planned around the season and the conditions.
